NOAHA
Meet Noaha. I'm a two year old female Mini-Pin mix. I have had all my vaccinations and have been spayed. I walk very well on a leash and am crate trained. I love my squeaky toys and love to hid them from my foster mom. My foster mom sayes I am very smart!!! I am still just a tad shy around men, but am more than ready to learn to love them too. I'm ready for a forever home!!! CLICK HERE FOR MORE PICTURES OF NOAHA
LIL BIT
This little terrier mix wants to make you happy, no matter what, and she does her best to do that! Little Bit is about 2 years old and weighs approximately 22 pounds. She is extremely playful and loving and does well with kids, dogs, and cats. She does like to jump so older kids would probably be better around her than young children. She likes to chew when she is bored, so it would be a good idea to use a crate when the family will not be home. Her foster mom says she is very sensitive to voice changes and usually disciplines her with a stern voice. Tug of war and tag are her favorite games to play with other animals. Lil Bit LOVES rawhide bones, belly rubs, and she likes to sleep right against another animal or person. Little Bit is spayed and up to date on shots. Contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com to find out more about Little Bit.

BRAVEHEART

Hi y’all! I’m Braveheart, a Tennessee Treeing Brindle Hound. I need love and attention and lots of both. You can see by checking out my pictures (here) that I am super friendly, very energetic and I like back-scratching. Born in October 2007 I am a bit over two years old so in dog years I’m just a teenager. I had developed a skin condition but now I’m fine and it stays away as long as I get my daily meds. I’ve got all the love and energy that makes for a fine companion. I play well with other dogs, one at a time, and I really love grownups and teenagers. I love loooong walks, lots of runnin’, chasin’ balls and Cheetos (not too many). I voluntarily go into my crate whenever I see my foster folks getting ready to leave but I love going with them when I can and I’m a great traveler. E-mail Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com for more information about Braveheart.

BLUTE
Blute is a Boxer/Spaniel mix. He is a super sweet boy with a lot of love to give to the right family. He loves everyone he meets. He gets along with other dogs too. Blute is getting use to the great treatment that he is receiving in his foster home. He was pulled from a high kill shelter in Kentucky by a very nice lady that thought he looked like royalty and felt he deserved a chance to live like a king. Blute is between 1-2 years old and has been neutered and is current on all of his vaccinations. If you think that Blute might fit into your family please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com. You can see more pictures of Blute here.
SWEETIE

What do you name a dog that is just sweet as can be? Meet Sweetie. She is an Australian Shepard/Hound mix. She is about 1 year old. She is a very happy and active girl now that she has made her way to her new foster home. Her previous family decided that they didn't have time for her any longer so they dropped her off at the local shelter. Sweetie was one of the few lucky ones that made it out safe and sound. A very lucky lady indeed. Sweetie is around a year old and has been spay. She is current on all of her vaccinations. If you think that Sweetie might fit into your family please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com. You can see more pictures of Sweetie here.

MOLLY
Molly is a sweetheart just waiting to show you the love she has been holding on too specially for her new family. Molly is a Redbone Coon Hound mix. The Redbone Coonhound is an excellent companion and family pet. They love to be with their owners and family, and are happy just doing things with their humans, or sitting nearby, watching them. A typical Redbone will shower everyone with love. Molly is small for a hound about 40 - 45 lbs. Molly is a very sweet dog, who does well with other dogs and kids. She is one to two years old. She has been spay and is current on all vaccinations. You can contact Cathy by emailing her at realitchec@hotmail.com to learn more about Molly.
PUDDIN
Meet Puddin. We don't know much about her history. She was picked up as a stray by a nice lady but she was not able to keep her. She brought her to the local veterinarian and ask them if they would help her find a home. They called us and we couldn't say no to that sweet sweet face. We assume that she has never had a home of her own since she is a bit shy with people that she doesn't know. She warms up quickly though. She will be a great lap dog given the opportunity. She has learned to walk on leash and has been crate and house trained. She's very soft. Minimal grooming required. She has been spay and is current on all of her required vaccinations. If you would like to learn more about Puddin please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com .
BUDDY
Hi there.....My name is Buddy. I am a young (1-2 Yr.) Redbone Coonhound mix. I look a lot like a purebred Redbone just a smaller version. I use to live with a family when I was really young but they moved away and left me and a couple of my other fur friends. We hung out together for awhile and then it got really cold. This nice couple that had been coming over to check on us once in a while decided that it was just too cold for us to be outside any longer so they found foster homes for each of us. I am not staying in their home with their own dog friend. He is fun to play with. I have been learning how to behave in a house. Things like going outside to go potty. Going in my crate when I'm told. Not jumping on people when they come to visit. Things like that. I'm young and I do get excited but I'm beginning to get the idea. I was taken to the doctor and he gave me all my shots and I was neutered so I am ready to find my new furever home. If you are interested in learning more about me just email Cathy and she will fill you in. You can reach her at realitchec@hotmail.com. Click here for more pictures of Buddy.
BETTY
Meet bouncing Betty. Can you see the Airdale in this girl? She got her color from her Black Lab dad and she got her Airdale mom's great looks. Dad didn't look bad either though. Both of these breeds are known to be very loving, always in the middle of the family activities. Betty is 4 months old and is ready for her new home with her forever family. Click here for more pictures of Betty. Please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com for more information on how to bring Betty home with you.
BROWNIE
Here is one of our Airdale/Black Lab puppies. This is Brownie. She is a very special girl and loves to play with her littermates. What else would a 4 month old puppy like to do, right? As you can see this litter is learning to walk on a leash and are not sure just what to think of it. They trust their foster mom though and are picking up training very fast. Both of these breeds are known to be very loving, always in the middle of the family activities. Click here for more pictures of Brownie. Please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com for more information on how to bring Brownie home with you.

SPIRIT
Spirit is properly named. She was driven out of her litter by her littermates when she was about 5 months old. She is now 8 months and has learned that not all dogs are mean to her. She is extremely people friendly and loves attention. She is also a very smart girl and is learning some basic commands very quickly. She loves to play with the dogs in her foster home but is tentative when she meets a new dog. We feel this is from her early experiences with her littermates. She is always wagging her tail to show you how happy she is to see you. Spirit has lots of potential as a wonderful new family member. She has been spay and is fully vaccinated. She is only about 25lbs and is full grown. Click here if you would like to see more pictures of Spirit.

Special Needs
SCRUFFY

UPDATE: Please consider fostering Scruffy. Although she is on medication and special food our organization will supply everything. You just supply the love.

I'm Scruffy, and I have a long story to tell. Actually, I think I'll let Cathy, my foster mom, tell you the details when you call to ask about me. I have a liver shunt, which means that I don't digest my food properly. It took a long time for the vet to find out what was wrong with me. I had tests and special diets galore! The Pickett County Humane Society and a generous donor supplied enough money to have me evaluated at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Hospital, and they decided to treat me with herbal medicines and a special diet. Is it any wonder that I want a lot of attention? I don't like other animals. Give me a human any day! I'm a Jack Russell born at the end of March in 2005. I'm housebroken, leash trained and crate trained. I'm also spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. I love my foster home, but I think it's high time I got a home of my own. Wouldn't you like to give me a chance?
