APRIL
Meet April...she was rescued , pregnant and afraid, from a puppy mill two weeks before she delivered her 6 babies....the babies have since been adopted and now April is ready and waiting for her new "fur"ever home. She has come miles in the area of trust, something that was all but destroyed..she still fears sudden movements and would do better in a home without small children..older children who are able to understand her fears would be fine.APRIL is not aggressive at allo and she will bond quickly with the right family or person who is willing to give her the love and patience she has so missed in her life...she is crate trained and loves walking on a leash...she has so much love to give...if you think April would be the right fit for you and you are willing to share your heart and home with this lovely, deserving lady, please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com for more info and pictures

LILY

Meet Lily, one of our newest fosters. This girl is a Beagle mix. Lily is about a year old. Her birth date is estimated as April 10, 2010. She just showed up at someones house one day. The family kept her for about 2 weeks and then surrendered her to us. She is now spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She has learned to walk on a leash. She is housetrained and crate trained. This energetic young lady is very sweet and social. She loves everyone she meets and her tail always wags. Lily is just a very happy happy girl. She has been fully vaccinated and spay and now it is time for her to find forever home. Please contact Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com if you are interested in Lily.

RENNER

If you like BIG dogs, you are sure to fall in love with Renner! This 84 pound Black and Tan Coonhound is a lover not a hunter. He loves tummy rubs and sleeping on the couch. He is fond of both his foster parents but seem to prefer being with dad. Renner is neutered and current on all required shots. We think he was born in early 2009. He walks well on a leash and is good with other dogs. He is a strong dog and has a super personality. He requires daily exercise and would do best with an active family and older children. This breed is intelligent, gentle and friendly with people. Email Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com if you want more information on Renner.

SPECIAL NEEDS
TESS

Talk to Cathy about this pretty lady. Her name is Tess. She's a 3 year old Mountain Feist that weighs about 40 pounds. She is very energetic and gets along well with other dogs, but she positively does not like cats! Tess is a little bit shy around people she doesn't know and it takes her a little while to warm up to them. Tess is leash trained, crate trained, and house trained. She is current on her shots and is spayed. Tess has never had a home of her own and would be so eager to meet someone who would like to adopt her. Cathy can be reached at realitchec@hotmail.com.

SPECIAL NEEDS
SCRUFFY

I'm Scruffy, and I have a long story to tell. Actually, I think I'll let Cathy, my foster mom, tell you the details when you call to ask about me. I have a liver shunt, which means that I don't digest my food properly. It took a long time for the vet to find out what was wrong with me. I had tests and special diets galore! The Pickett County Humane Society and a generous donor supplied enough money to have me evaluated at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Hospital, and they decided to treat me with herbal medicines and a special diet. Is it any wonder that I want a lot of attention? I don't like other animals. Give me a human any day! I'm a Jack Russell born at the end of March in 2005. I'm housebroken, leash trained and crate trained. I'm also spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. I love my foster home, but I think it's high time I got a home of my own. Wouldn't you like to give me a chance? UPDATE: Please consider fostering Scruffy. Although she is on medication and special food our organization will supply everything. You just supply the love.
