This is an actual posting from Facebook. Although I was not looking for all this praise when I made the original post I thought it might be helpful to our potential adopters to see what a great group of people we have standing behind our effort to save lives. The comments are mostly from previous adopters. We hope that all of our adopters will join us on Facebook. We have lots of fun and keep intouch with everyone.

Like one big happy family.....both two legged and four!

Cathy Crockett To our wonderful adopters: Please post a comment about something your adoption process with our organization (PAWS). It can be something that happened during the application process. Something that happened while you waited for your new dog to arrive. Something that you remember from the transport. Something that happened while you waited for your new dog to arrive. Something that you remember from the transport. Something that happened the day you got your dog or shortly after. What is the first thing that comes to your mind?

Tammy Garland Scarfe Miss Pearl arrived & was so much more than we ever expected. We kept in contact with Cathy & thru our conversations & the impact Miss Pearl made on us we have become so much more involved in promoting rescue. I actually spent time in TN in April 2009 meeting Cathy & several of her fosters. Awesome group & so very caring!!!!

Mathew Helman We got our dog from the transport the day before Valentine's Day this year, and Canarsie joining our family made for one of the best Valentine's Days ever.

Heather Green Our first rescue, Java, came to us in a UHaul truck after the transport broke down twice between TN and NH. In February. I'll always remember the tired smile on the man's face as he unloaded the pups he cared for for days as he tried to get the transport back up and running. He persevered to get all those dogs to the forever homes that were anxiously awaiting them! =)

Tarryn Brandl Wilkerson I wish I could sum up in words how truly wonderful you are! You all are incredibly dedicated rescuers who have mastered the art of saving lives! We have had the opportunity to have so many great pup friends stay with us temporarily (two of which we very much consisdered keeping) and many of whom we have held back tears having to say good bye to ( of course all to wonderful families). I have the ut most respect for all you do and all you stand for..... keep up the good work and keep that bridge strong!

We had such a wonderful adoption process. Cathy did a great job putting up with all my neurotic "first time mom" emails and even put me in touch with our little Annabelle's foster mom who answered questions. Cathy and Bette, her foster mom, did a great job giving Annabelle a great start to her life and we are thankful for all that you do, without you we wouldn't have the 5th member of our family. When we first got Annabelle, the funniest thing about having her home was her stealing the baby's binkies and running around the house with them in her mouth just like a baby would suck on one. When a binkie went missing, there was always one to be found hiding in her bed! :)

Oh, the memories of when we picked up our dear Kai! I could write a book! I first saw his darling face just hours after my beloved Zeb died. I instantly knew that this little pup, saved from a brutal death and then loved and cared for by several wonderful rescuers, was meant to be my boy. He has been transformed from a terrified puppy who was scared to walk on his own to a vibrant, happy dog whose greatest joy is running through woods and fields. And his wonderful life is all thanks to the great start the amazing folks from PAWS and his foster mom in NH, Ross, gave him. Many, many thanks for all you do. May God bless you all!

What a great experience. Cathy, Mary and Loretta all kept me informed through email and pictures on the progress of my two boys until they were ready to come up north. 2 precious puppies from the same litter with unbelievably different personalities. These people are truly caring folks and are 100% dedicated to making it possible to place these puppies in loving homes. Pickup day finally came and we were so happy to finally have them with us. One of the things really special to me is that they still want to know and care how everyone is doing after they in their new homes and are around to answer questions and offer advice when asked. Couldn't be happier!

Shawn Hammock I never would have imagined that sending one email to inquire about a sweet-faced hound dog I found through Petfinders would give me more than just one friend in return. Not only did Soni become one more crazy addition to this family of mine (a PERFECT fit, too), but I also found an amazing group of ladies (and a couple of menfolk, too ;) ) that instantly became near & dear to me. I ♥ you all!! :)

Ginny Brackett The people ahead of us in line were picking up a very scared young dog. The transport guy brought them into the trailer, and closed the door, so they could meet their new family member in a quiet, less scary place. I thought... wow this guy knows his dogs, and he cares how each dog meets their new owner. It was really a reassuring experience to know each dog in that transport was cared for all the way up from Tennessee.

Megan Read As Jeff unloaded the transport truck one puppy at a time, the line of people waiting for their dog gave a sincere" awwwww how cute" for each and every dog. I kept telling myself, "you won't cry Megan, just don't cry". And then when it was my turn and they put Bailey in my arms it was nearly impossible not to let a few tears of joy stream down my face. The whole adoption process was wonderful, thank you guys for all you do!!

Tonia Grant I know this is my second post on this subject but Megan and Ginny brought to mind tha when I met Jeff from the transport that was my feeling exactly. It takes a special person to do this type of work with ohhh so many dogs. He was wonderful. Cathy sure does a great job with picking her foster home to the transporters she uses. A great judge of character!!!!

I remember talking to Cathy about the litter of puppies and her saying, "I will give you the foster mom's number...." I called, Jim answered, and he yelled to Loretta, "Oh goodness, it's starting already!" We were the first callers to Jim and Loretta about our precious Jackson. I think I called four times that night. I kept forgetting to ask something, but they didn't seem to mind at all. I still so distinctly remember seeing Jackson for the first time - there was no denying that that was him!!! Thank you Pickett Paws!! Got to go - he is whining for his daily bully stick!!

Jennie Hartley Oulton Waiting for the transport to arrive with our pup, Tucker was incredible! When we saw the Transport pull into the parking lot I was all choked up and emotional! It was like being handed a newly adopted baby! We were so surprised to see a curly tail on our chosen pup.. having only seen him in pictures we only knew his little puppy face.. What a love! We will recommend adopting a rescue pup from PAWS to anyone looking for a forever pup friend. LOVE YOU GUYS!

The entire process was wonderful. Once we were approved for adoption, Cathy and Loretta put us in touch with the foster mom, Mary who kept us informed with pictures and information. On pick up day it was busy and we were lucky to be at the at the front of the line and when they handed Quinn to Evan he immediately gave "kisses" and its been great ever since. Everyone has been wonderful to answer questions and really care about how things are going after the adoption too. As a first time puppy/dog owner the network of caring people has been far more than I could have hoped for.

Kathleen Dugas I remember waiting for the transport which drove through a blizzard that hit the entire east coast. These folks drove through incredibly terrible weather to deliver wonderful dogs to loving, anxious families. Seeing all the families waiting for the transport to arrive and greeting their puppies and dogs was amazing! The PAWS folks are so dedicated to their cause. I recommend them without hesitation.

The entire process was right from beginning to end. Cathy was just a wonderful person to deal with and she kept posted throughout the entire adoption process. I'm glad that they do request references. It tells me that they really care about their foster dogs. She also send me occasional pictures of our puppy and just kept us updated on his progress. The transport was on time and they really enjoyed seeing the new families get all mushy and excited about welcoming their new family members. I have to say, I congratulate the PAWS organization for having people such as Mary Shell, Cathy Crockett and their crew.Thank you for bringing Mac into our lives!!!!

Kevin Green I remember that the brand new truck broke down twice, fixed once and the second time it broke the driver rented a Uhaul and put all the crates in it as best they could...Dedication to say the least on his end. I also remember there was a mastiff that broke out of four different crates AND most importantly, I remember taking Java and zipping her into my coat because she was cold. How times change, now she is much more likely to eat my coat than anything else =)

Barbara Langshaw-Soares I was shocked to see that huge truck pull into the parking lot and then to see this nice man bringing out dogs to anxiously awaiting people. I had absolutely no idea how many pets were rescued. It was the greatest thing I've ever done for an animal. My Libby is so happy now, she plays, runs, jumps into my lap and just wants to be loved. I'm forever grateful that I changed her life through Cathy Crockett!!
