Why Rescue?

"If you consider that we cannot save them all, and what difference does one make, you ought to know the joy of the one who is saved." -Jim Willis

We are very proud of you Iain

This is Teddy and his adoptive dad Iain. They live in New Hampshire. But Teddy has been separated from his dad recently because Iain is flying Medi-Vac helicopters in the middle east for the Army. We know that Teddy misses his dad and we know that Iain misses him. Stay safe and come home soon Iain.

The way things ought to be

The Spotlight is ON Braveheart

Hi y’all! I’m Braveheart, a Tennessee Treeing Brindle Hound. I need love and attention and lots of both. You can see by checking out my pictures (here) that I am super friendly, very energetic and I like back-scratching. Born in October 2007 I am a bit over two years old so in dog years I’m just a teenager. I had developed a skin condition but now I’m fine and it stays away as long as I get my daily meds. I’ve got all the love and energy that makes for a fine companion. I play well with other dogs, one at a time, and I really love grownups and teenagers. I love loooong walks, lots of runnin’, chasin’ balls and Cheetos (not too many). I voluntarily go into my crate whenever I see my foster folks getting ready to leave but I love going with them when I can and I’m a great traveler. E-mail Cathy at realitchec@hotmail.com for more information about Braveheart. Click here to see more pictures of Braveheart.

Our mission is to serve the communities in our area by providing adoption, foster care, a spay/neuter program, education, lost & found and volunteer opportunities to strengthen and support the relationships between pets and people.
We are a 100% volunteer organization. 100% of our funds go directly to benefit the animals in our care. We survive strictly on generous donations of the people in our community, family and friends.
We would like to thank all of the wonderful rescue people and organizations all across the country that help us to place our dogs in safe and happy homes. You are all to be commended for your hard work and sacrifice to help the animals in need.
All of our foster dogs are treated with Frontline Plus and Iverhart Max Heartworm preventative each month.

P.A.W.S. uses Midwest Crates exclusively.
